EksoZeroG is a mechanical arm that holds heavy tools on aerial work platforms and scaffolding. This spring-loaded, gravity-defying support arm bears the weight of heavy tools. This lifting aid spares workers’ arms from the physical strain of heavy lifting, allowing them to conserve their strength for what really matters—precise tool use. Whether your workers are using a grinder, drilling with a large bit, or operating an impact wrench, this device improves safety, reduces errors, and boosts worker morale. Seamless integration with employees

The EksoZeroG construction exoskeleton helps reduce the physical strain on construction workers by allowing them to maneuver tools and other objects as if they were weightless. It is mounted on aerial work platforms, such as scissor lifts and standard scaffolding.

EksoZeroG is compatible with any tool weighing up to 19 kg that can be safely mounted at the end of an arm, such as riveters, demolition hammers, impact hammers, impact wrenches, and grinders. Many of these tools are attached using a suspension system, but large grinders can also be easily secured using a “ring gimbal.”

We've compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions here to help you understand how ZeroG works, how to maintain it, and the benefits of using it every day.

At this time, EksoZeroG is designed for installation only on aerial work platforms and scaffolding. However, we are always exploring new applications and looking for common ergonomic problems that require an exoskeleton-based solution.

EksoZeroG provides up to 36.0 pounds (16.3 kg) of lifting force for heavy tools. This means that loads weighing up to 36 pounds (including the tool holder, the tool, and the tool’s steel components) will feel weightless and can be moved effortlessly within the work area. ZeroG can safely lift heavier loads of up to 19.1 kg, but since only 16.3 kg of lifting capacity is provided, heavier tools will not be completely weightless.

EksoZeroG works with any tool weighing up to 42.0 pounds (19.1 kg) that the operator can safely mount at the end of the ZeroG arm. Many tools are attached using a sling. The most common tools include riveters, impact/demonstration hammers, jackhammers, and impact wrenches. ZeroG also works well with large grinders, which can be easily attached using a “ring gimbal” to make large grinding jobs much easier by eliminating the weight of the tool.

EksoZeroG is designed for mounting on both aerial work platforms (AWPs), such as scissor lifts, and standard scaffolding rails. There are two different mounts for the ZeroG—one for antennas and one for scaffolding—which can be ordered or rented depending on the specific application. The ZeroG can be mounted in either location in less than a minute.

The EksoZeroG is designed to require minimal maintenance to keep it in good condition. The bearings are sealed, so lubrication is not required. The most important step in caring for the ZeroG is to keep it clean and ensure that moving parts are kept free of debris. The recommended maintenance/cleaning schedule and instructions can be found in the user manual.
